We are pleased to announce the version 1.0 test release of GNU Beat.
All reported bugs in previous test releases have been fixed.
Some bugs surely remain.

The basic idea and principal algorithm is taken from Swatch, Inc.
website at www.swatch.com. That's why the GNU beat's meridian is
presently BMT, but could change to GNU MIT time anytime soon.

Note that vanilla sharfiles don't keep execution permissions when
unpacking, you might need to:

  chmod +x configure install-sh mkinstalldirs beat.cgi

after unshar'ing this package.
